The Vikings invented spooning in Dublin.

My latest journey was to the land of Blarney Stones and Leprechauns....Dublin, Ireland! The group of girls and I decided that it was time to hop the little pond on a 45 minute flight the city to explore a little. We did a TON of stuff. We went on a 3 hour walking tour of the city and pretty much saw the entire city. Also, we went to the Guinness Factory and learned how to pour the Perfect Pint! (I even have a certificate :) ).

Our tour guide was hysterical! Some of his quotes from the tour...
"As you can see from the tiny rooms, Vikings invented spooning."
"When did the Scandinavians stop raping and pillaging villages, and decided to invent IKEA?"

Taking a break from the walking tour

Pretty cool place! I was the champion of that pint of Guinness. Delicious!
After a long day in the city of Dublin, we decided to head 30 minutes to the west to go to the absolutely amazing city of Howth (pronounced like both). We were greeted with amazing weather and beautiful scenery.

This is called Kitchen in the Castle. It's a culinary school!

We followed some ladies up a hill and were amazed when we found this beautiful view!

And OF COURSE! You need a Classic Casee Picture. This hat was extremely tempting...

My next trip is going to be traveling to Slough, a suburb of London, with my good friends Simren and Sophie! More photos and stories to come!

Finland IS the Arctic Circle

My latest adventure was to the wonderful winter wonderland of Finland to see one of my closest friends, Miss Mia. Mia was an exchange student at Basic High School and one of the coolest people I know! We would always joke in high school that I would go and visit her in Finland, and guess what, I DID!

Finland was amazing! Mia had told me that the weather was going to be the same as England, but maybe a little colder, in Finland. But when I first landed, it was snowing! It was the first snow of the season, and of course it would happen right when I get there. But it was absolutely wonderful! We went to Mia's apartment and rested up for the next day!

We explored Helsinki and saw the United Nation Bears (pictured below).

Then on Friday night we went to Mia's dad and stepmom's house for dinner. It was amazing and they are such wonderful people!

Saturday was a day full of excitement! We went to Mia's home town and her childhood home. Then all of Mia's friends came over so we could all get to know each other before going out for a night on the town in Helsinki! Mia has some of the best friends ever!

Sunday we had a day of relaxation and then went to the light carnival!

Then, of course, we had to SAUNA! (P.S. Dad and Mom, we are getting one of these!)

I had the best time! I can't wait to go back to Finland for Christmas for some great times and great company!

Dublin this weekend.....

Until then!

Tea and Crumpets

LONDON.

What a wonderful place it is! A group of us went into London to celebrate Miss Stephanie Favotto's birthday! We were blessed with wonderful weather, so sunny and warm. The monuments in London are incredible and the pictures just don't do them justice. We tried to squeeze in as much as we could in two days, and I think we did pretty well! I also met up with a friend from home and it was so good to see her!

On Saturday night, we went to the Ministry of Sound, the 4th best night club in the world, and it was absolutely amazing! They played great music, and we were all exhausted when we got back to the hotel.

Overall, this weekend was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend with some of my favorite people!
